辖区一半以上的面积位于生态保护线内，马峦山郊野公园拥有成片原始森林和全市最大的天然瀑布群，深圳市五大河流之一的坪山河贯穿全境，获评“国家生态文明建设示范区”，自然生态环绩优美。全年空气优良率保持在95%以上，PM2.5浓度18.7微克／立方米。

Friendly eco-environment

　　With over half of its land area under ecological protection, Pingshan has been rated as a “National Demonstration Zone for Ecological Conservation”. The great appeal of its natural landscape lies in the breathtaking Maluanshan Country Park with a vast area of virgin forest and the largest natural waterfalls in the city, as well as the magnificent Pingshan River, the one of the five major rivers in Shenzhen that runs through the district. The air quality of Pingshan remains above the “Good” level for 95% of the time in a year, and its PM2.5 concentration stays 18.7 μg/m3 on average.
