Five pocket parks are being built along the Pingshan SkyShuttle Line 1 route. The parks, namely Yunbo, Yundong, Yunduan, Yunlu and Yunxiao, each with a different theme, will offer leisure and exercise spaces and facilities to residents, creating a beautiful view for SkyShuttle passengers.

Yundong Park, near Zhongxinguoji Station (or SMIC Station) of SkyShuttle Line 1, covers an area of 13,262 square meters. Themed around sports, the park is surrounded by governmental office buildings and technological parks. Considering the future concentration of high-tech industries and a large population density, the park is designed to offer a diverse and comprehensive space for people to engage in various sports and fitness activities, creating an urban oasis for people to exercise and relaxation.

Yunbo Park, near Zhanqian Road East Station of SkyShuttle Line 1, covers an area of 15,381 square meters. Themed around leisure, the park is surrounded by residential areas and will provide a variety of activity spaces for residents.

Yunlu Park, occupying 4,504 square meters, is located near Yanziling Station of SkyShuttle Line 1. Surrounded by residential and office buildings, the park is themed around ecology. Plant species with low maintenance and costs will be selected for the park which will feature a variety of trees and ornamental grasses, creating a natural and tranquil botanical space.

Yunxiao Park, near BYD North Station of SkyShuttle Line 1, is adjacent to the Chi’ao River and BYD. Covering an area of 11,633 square meters, the park is themed around natural charm, integrating the nearby water features and interconnecting public green spaces. In addition to the five pocket parks, the landscape project along the SkyShuttle Line 1 starts at the Pingshan High-speed Railway Station and ends at BYD North Road, spanning a total length of 8.5 kilometers. The entire project adopts a natural, low-cost and low-maintenance landscape strategy, integrating with nature with urban spaces into nature, creating a fusion of urban greenery with colorful variations in the city’s road landscape.

Launched in February, the project has already achieved 80% completion. On Longping Road and Jinniu West Road, hundreds of trees have been planted and 133 pier columns have been adorned with climbing plants.
