Maluan Mountain
Maluan Mountain in Pingshan District is not the most famous mountain in Shenzhen, but it is popular among avid hikers thanks to its clear streams, lush woods, plum blossoms and one of the area’s largest waterfalls.
With its highest peak standing around only 590 meters in altitude, both adults and children can enjoy trekking here without too much effort. After you enjoy the mountain’s renowned plum garden and waterfalls, don’t forget to check out Guangbei, Laowei and Maluan Mountain villages on the mountain, as they are centuries-old Hakka villages with traditional housing, where you can enjoy a peaceful silence far from life in the big city.
Julong Mountain Ecological Park
Julong Mountain Ecological Park is located on the border of Pingshan and Kengzi subdistricts.

With various landscapes and more than 100 kinds of plants, the park is a great place for leisure and ecological education. Many varieties of flowers are planted in the park, and visitors can find beautiful blossoms in the park all year round.
The park also has a bird watching area. Birds such as thrushes, magpies, black-headed birds and red-necked turtledoves are common guests in this area.
Dashanpi Park
Dashanpi Park is divided into the south and north areas by the Dashanpi Reservoir. The south area is close to Maluan Mountain Suburban Park, while the north area is next to the Pingshan Sports Center.
With a greenway that surrounds the reservoir and connects the two areas, the park is an ideal place for cycling and hiking.
Yanziling Ecological Park
Located in the central area of Pingshan District, Yanziling Ecological Park is known for its luxuriant forests. The park was built without many changes to the original landform and offers various attractions and pavilions.
Jingui Village
Jingui Village is a 300-year-old ancient Hakka village graced by mountains and rivers. With 100-year-old trees, the village offers a rich micro ecosystem to explore. You’ll be able to observe birds, insects and other invertebrates in the village.
