Delicate Chaozhou embroidery artworks and products are on display and are for sale at Yitian Holiday World in Pingshan District.

Originating from Chaozhou in eastern Guangdong in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Chaozhou embroidery is a type of Guangdong embroidery which is one of the top four styles of embroidery in China, along with Xiang embroidery in Hunan Province, Shu embroidery in Sichuan Province and Su embroidery in Jiangsu Province.

Chaozhou embroidery has over 200 needling techniques. Its three-dimensional designs created with padding techniques are what distinguish it from other embroidery styles in China.

Chaozhou embroidery is used in many exquisite Chinese wedding dresses, with patterns of dragons and phoenixes, incorporating the technique of golden and silver thread embroidery. It is also used to produce curtains and decorations for ancestral halls.

Chaozhou embroidery has been widely acclaimed abroad. The craft was selected in 2006 as a national intangible cultural heritage item.
