The MozART group, a string quartet from Poland comprised of three violinists and one cellist, will give a concert Nov. 1 at the Shenzhen Concert Hall.

The MozART group has graduates from prestigious music academies in Poland who play classical music in a humorous way. The MozART group has created a unique musical cabaret where music, not words, is the source of laughter.

The MozART group has been together since 1995. At the beginning, they presented short musical jokes on Canal Plus TV, making their live debut in 1997 at the PAKA competition of young Polish cabarets in Krakow. In the same year they presented their first cabaret program entitled “Mozart’s Still Alive.” They have given concerts in Europe, North America and Asia.

The MozART group frequently appears on TV and at international galas and concerts. Among other prizes, the quartet received the Grand Prix of the 18th Festival of Satire and Comedy in Lidzbark. In July 2010 the group was awarded a special prize by the Ministry of Culture of Poland for outstanding achievements, rewarding 15 years on stage. The 31st European Humor Festival GAGY in Slovakia awarded the MozART group with the 2011 Grand Prix.
