Free experimental music concert

Polish artists Nmls and Grzegorz Bojanek will collaborate with Shenzhen experimental musician Zen Lu for an improvised concert Sunday night at Hua Salon beside OCT Art and Design Gallery.

“Underworld,” a 1927 silent crime movie directed by Josef von Sternberg will be shown to accompany the artists’ performance. Free tickets can be obtained at OCT Art and Design Gallery’s official WeChat: “oct-and.”

Nmls, whose real name is Piotr Michaowski, is a sound artist from Warsaw. He mainly engages in creating ambient, downtempo and IDM (intelligent dance music). As a live performer, he presents his solo material and also plays improvised concerts with other artists.

Lu is an electronic musician, sound artist and event curator. Lu has released several CDs and performed in a string of music festivals in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Sweden and Poland. He’s one of the founders of ChoP, a musical project between China and Poland. He also composes music for dramas and movies.

Bojanek focuses mostly on ambient, experimental as well as electroacoustic music. He concentrates on Warsaw Electronic Festival and organizes concerts for young Polish electronic artists in Poland. He is also a founder of the Polish-Chinese project ChoP.
