Gianni Denitto, “one of the best Italian jazz musicians” according to Musica Jazz magazine, will give a show Wednesday night at Old Heaven in OCT-LOFT.

　　Denitto approached jazz with a wealth of experience in classical, electronic and rock music. He earned two bachelor’s degrees with honors in jazz and classical music in Italy. His first album was released in 2012 by Universal Music Italia. Gianni has played at a large number of venues, clubs and festivals throughout Italy and abroad.

　　Since 2013, he has been traveling around the world playing his saxophone with electronics, doing jazz concerts with local musicians and teaching at music academies and universities.

　　At the Shenzhen event, he will promote his second album “Brain on a Sofa.” Denitto wants to share his experiences with different kinds of music, his travels and cultural contamination. This is an experimental solo sax project, pairing jazz acoustics with electronic sound that explores the nuance of the saxophone and the boundaries of jazz.
