What is On
"Dream+: Growing Up Together,” an exhibition featuring young Chinese artists’ paintings, installations and videos, as well as hundreds of paintings by local children, is being held at Guan Shanyue Art Museum to mark the Children’s Day. Various DIY workshops will also be held during the exhibition.
With the theme of “dreaming together and growing up together,” the exhibition invites six contemporary artists to create a relaxing and fantastic world for children. Lu Zhengyuan and Tan Yingjie built a “castle” filled with mirrors and colorful flowers. When children walk inside the “castle,” they will feel like they are inside a kaleidoscope.
Li Linlin created a special “rabbit hole” with 1,000 plush rabbits of different sizes. “Fantastic Forest” is an interactive light installation which responds to shouts and laughter. Created by Li Na and Zhang Zengzeng, it changes colors according to the intensity of the sounds. Tu Shaohui’s video presents the great universe and mysterious sky, taking children to a deep and remote world.
