What is OnOrganized by the Overseas Chinese Town Group, the OCT Flamboyant Flower Carnival, which will be held this weekend, will include an exhibition, performances, installations and a photography contest.
Photo contest
Photography lovers are welcome to take photos of flamboyant flowers in the city for a photography competition. The deadline to submit photos is June 18. Application WeChat is “OCT凤凰花嘉年华.”
Growroom exhibition
Swedish architects Mads-Ulrik Husum and Sine Lindholm have collaborated with Space10, Ikea’s innovation lab, to design a piece of living furniture that is able to feed a number of people. Called the Growroom, it’s a flat-pack spherical garden that grows plants, veggies and herbs.

Shenzhen artist Peng Yu will give an improvisational performance related to the body and nature.

Shadow workshop
