Astronaut Zhao Chuandong explains the exhibits to students at the exhibition in Pingshan on July 3.
A national youth space science exhibition opened in Pingshan District on July 3, bringing together rocket debris, space-bred specimens, high-precision spacecraft models, and VR experiences designed to make space technology accessible and exciting for young visitors.
At the immersive exhibition, children took part in rocket launch simulations, tackled zero-gravity challenges, and interacted with an AI astronaut. Many said the hands-on experience with real space artifacts left them motivated to pursue careers in science and space exploration.
