What is OnThe “Foam Park” exhibition presents 44 works by Chinese artist Wang Huangsheng, including videos, installations, and mixed-media paintings.
Using “foam” — from foam plastic to bubble wrap — as its central medium, the show decodes foam’s multiple meanings in architecture, industry, and finance, mapping contemporary “bubbles” such as economic volatility, information overload, and the rapid rise of AI, while exploring themes of fragility and resilience.

Artworks created by Wang Huangsheng are on display.
Wang has long worked with foam in his practice. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the materials’ textures and embark on a conceptual journey to “deconstruct bubbles and perceive their essence.”
As part of the project, Wang invited 22 local art enthusiasts to bring discarded foam and bubble wrap to co-create works. Under the artist’s guidance, traditional Chinese rubbing techniques and contemporary media, such as acrylic paint, were applied to transform these overlooked materials into striking visual pieces.

Works co-created by local art enthusiasts are on display.
