The “Splendors of the Sun and Moon” exhibition showcases works by 50 renowned domestic and international artists, including Paul Cézanne, Giorgio Morandi, Zao Wou-ki, Gu Wenda, Liang Shaoji, Zhu Dequn, Giuseppe La Belluna, Pang Maokun, and Fang Lijun.
These artists utilize their distinctive artistic languages to foster a profound dialogue between Eastern and Western philosophies and art. In the “Heaven” chapter, they employ the interplay of light, shadow, color, and form to evoke the vastness and mystery of the cosmos. The “Earth” chapter features works focused on nature and ecology, resonating with Shenzhen’s urban vision of “Mountain-Sea Vistas.” Meanwhile, the “Human” chapter delves into the intricate relationships between humans, nature, and civilization, reflecting Pingshan’s characteristic concept of a “city in nature.”
