Tao Dance Theater
Tao Dance Theater will present its latest works, “16” and “17,” from the “Numerical Series.” This renowned Chinese independent dance troupe is celebrated for its innovative body movement techniques developed by founders Tao Ye and Duan Ni.
In “16,” sixteen dancers form a line, each connected to the next. Throughout the flowing actions of circling and marching, energy fluctuations between the dancers are transmitted back and forth, creating dynamic spatial changes. Inspired by the imagination of dynamic sounds, “17” incorporates body movements that rhythmically align with the accompanying soundscapes.
