Kylin dance parade

Kylins are revered as auspicious symbols in Chinese culture, representing protection, prosperity, success, and longevity. The Pingshan kylin dance has a history of over 300 years and is recognized as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage item. Festive occasions in the district are often accompanied by lively kylin dance parades and performances.

To celebrate the Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb. 12 this year, the Pingshan Subdistrict in Pingshan District is organizing a kylin and lion dance parade on the morning of Feb. 12. The parade will begin at the Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall, route through Dongzong Road, Dongsheng Street, and Jianshe Road, and conclude at the Pingshan Cinema and Theater.
