‘International Printmaking Master Constellation Theme Exhibition’

‘Pompeii VR Exploration’
The "Pompeii VR Exploration" exhibition, running through March 3, provides visitors with a unique opportunity to travel back in time and immerse themselves in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii through a captivating virtual reality (VR) experience.
Replicas of frescoes at the exhibition capture the essence of ancient Roman life, highlighting Pompeii’s luxurious and enchanting lifestyle. The mesmerizing VR experience allows visitors to explore opulent houses adorned with stunning gardens and numerous lavish rooms featuring frescoes, mosaics, and other artworks, representing the exquisite lifestyle that was once prevalent among the upper classes.
Pompeii is akin to a book with pages that continue to be added; each new generation rediscovers and reinterprets its history based on evolving methods and techniques. For three centuries, excavations have unveiled remarkable traces of everyday life, such as jewelry, sculptures, and pottery, which reflect the lives that were forever altered on the day the city was destroyed by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79.

‘Youth Vision’
The vibrant spirit of creativity takes center stage at the “Youth Vision — 2024 Shenzhen Youth Art Exhibition,” running through Jan. 20. With a strong focus on emerging young talents and their dynamic works, the exhibition depicts a spirited and energized portrayal of the city through the lens of youth artistic expression.
Incepted in 2019, the exhibition has established a biennial tradition of showcasing youth-inspired artworks, welcoming submissions from the public. It has evolved into a significant platform nurturing the creative voices of young artists. Since 2021, the exhibition has centered its theme around “Youth Vision,” providing a fresh outlook on the world through the eyes of the youth.
The Pingshan exhibition features nearly 60 works spanning traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, prints, installations, mixed media, and videos. Complementing the main exhibition at the Shenzhen Art Museum, the Pingshan exhibition offers emerging talents greater visibility and fosters an enhanced exchange and dissemination of youthful artistry.
