A series of events will be held across Pingshan District to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on Sept. 17. Through a variety of activities, residents can immerse themselves in the joy of the festival.
Pingshan District Central Park 坪山区中心公园
During the festival, Pingshan District Central Park will be adorned with artistic installations to enhance the vibrant moonlit atmosphere. Evening galas will be held, featuring an innovative blend of songs, dances, and poetry, creating an audio and visual feast for visitors.
Activities such as lantern riddles and poetry readings will offer a delightful mix of education and entertainment. A trendy market will allow citizens to explore intangible cultural heritages, creative cultural products, and handmade crafts. Additionally, traditional Chinese games will strengthen family bonds and encourage interaction.

Food stalls will sell delicacies and snacks unique to Pingshan, ensuring a memorable culinary experience. Hanfu performances will showcase stunning traditional garments, highlighting the beauty of Chinese heritage and allowing citizens to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese culture.
A new music fountain has become a popular attraction in the park, drawing residents and tourists alike who seek a relaxing atmosphere and a picturesque setting for nighttime photography. The fountain features dazzling light and water displays, accompanied by a range of soothing and energetic melodies, creating an enchanting ambiance.

Shenzhen Pingshan Changshou Dramaville 深圳坪山长守戏剧谷
Don’t miss the newly opened Shenzhen Pingshan Changshou Dramaville, which integrates drama performances, cultural exchanges, and artistic facilities. Architect Zhu Xiaodi has constructed a giant net-weaving installation atop the half-moon pond at the dramaville, providing a serene spot for leisurely strolls or moonlit contemplation.

In the dramaville’s exhibition hall, an exhibition is showcasing 400 exquisite Shaanxi Huaxian shadow puppets collected by actor and director Zhang Guoli, celebrating the legacy of shadow plays and dramas. Another exhibition reviews the 15-year creative journey of Longma Studio through a collection of fascinating photos, scripts, props, and costumes.
Longma Studio’s dramas will be staged Sept. 20-28 at the 300-seat theater, with tickets available through the WeChat miniprogram “猫眼”.

Throughout September, classic shows such as the Chinese drama “Sunrise,” the Chinese musical “God of War,” Shen Wei’s modern dances “Folding” and “Near the Terrace,” and the U.S. children’s play “PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure” will grace Pingshan Theater. Tickets can be purchased via the theater’s official WeChat account (ID: PingShanTheatre).
