Pingshan, boasting rich natural ecological resources, is home to many natural treasures such as Maluan Mountain and Pingshan River Wetland Park, as well as the Shenzhen Natural History Museum. Pingshan now welcomes the “Sci-Nature Box” exhibition, a mobile popular science exhibition designed to invite the public, especially children and youth, to step into nature, and explore and protect nature.

At the exhibition, children can be explorers, scientists or archaeologists to uncover the secrets of animals. The exhibition not only showcases specimens of various animals such as gazelles, raccoons and critically endangered eastern quolls, but also features over 10 interactive exhibits. Additionally, there is an introduction to the "sponge city" concept, showcasing the urban water management system.

Through animal visual simulators, you can see the world through the eyes of the animals and understand the colors and shapes as seen by the animals. If you were to compete with animals, who would win? Here, you can compare long jumps with kangaroos, arm length with falcons and egrets, height with elephants and tigers.

You can also listen to the most mysterious “whale language” from the depths of the ocean. Blue whales, humpback whales, dolphins, killer whales, beluga whales … their sounds vary from deep and mellow to short and powerful, and some may even sound like a rap artist.

Do you want to cosplay as animals with your friends? Wave your hand, and your avatar on the screen will instantly transform into another animal. You can also touch and feel the characteristics of animal fur or use a magnifying glass to observe the texture of the fur. You can also learn about the concept of a sponge city.
