SZ’s COVID travel policy updated

Travelers arriving in Shenzhen from high-risk COVID-19 areas must undergo a 14-day centralized quarantine and take daily nucleic acid tests during the first seven days and one test on the 10th and 14th day, respectively, according to the COVID travel policy released on the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission’s official website Tuesday.

Arrivals in the city from medium-risk areas, as well as counties, cities and districts that contain high-risk areas, must undergo a 14-day home quarantine and take nucleic acid tests on the first, third, seventh and 14th day.

Travelers coming or returning to Shenzhen from cities where there are reported community COVID flare-ups are subject to a seven-day home quarantine and seven-day home health monitoring, and nucleic acid tests on the first, third, seventh and 14th day.

Travelers from places with community transmission must undergo a 14-day home health monitoring and take nucleic acid tests on the first, second, third, seventh and 14th day. They are advised neither to travel in the first three days, nor to return to their workplaces or schools.

Arrivals from Hong Kong are subject to a 14-day centralized quarantine and seven-day home health monitoring, while arrivals from Macao must hold negative seven-day nucleic acid test results.

Overseas travelers, except those from Hong Kong and Macao, are required to undergo a 14-day centralized quarantine and seven days of strict home health monitoring.

Shenzhen residents are required to present negative 72-hour nucleic acid test results to access various public places and public transport.

Air travelers arriving in Shenzhen from domestic medium- and high-risk areas for COVID, as well as areas with positive COVID cases, must have negative 48-hour nucleic acid test results and take a nucleic acid test upon arrival.

Road passenger transport services between Shenzhen and medium- and high-risk areas are currently suspended.

Shekou Cruise Homeport’s Bay Area sea tour routes and ferry services between Shekou and the Hong Kong airport, Shekou and Macao, Shekou and Zhuhai’s Jiuzhou Port and island tour routes, as well as the Shenzhen airport and Zhongshan, are operating normally.

Ferry services from Shekou to Zhongshan, as well as from the Shenzhen airport to Zhuhai, have not resumed at present.
