Pingshan sets 7% GDP growth target for 2022

Pingshan has set its GDP growth target at around 7% for 2022, District Mayor Zhao Jia said as she delivered a government work report this morning at the opening meeting of the second session of the second Pingshan District People's Congress.

Other main targets for socioeconomic development include a 10.5% growth in the district’s added value of industrial enterprises above designated scale, a 6% growth in its total retail sales of consumer goods, and a 1.7% growth in its general public budget revenue.

The district also aims for a steady growth in residents’ per capita disposable income and accomplishing its energy saving and emission reduction goals, as per the government work report.

In 2021, Pingshan’s gross domestic product (GDP) reached 91.06 billion yuan, up by 11.7% year-on-year, according to the report. Its total fixed assets investment volume reached 48.15 billion yuan, up by 15.9%. The added value of industrial enterprises above designated scale grew by 12.1% to 48.51 billion yuan. The total retail sales of consumer goods reached 18.12 billion yuan, up by 19.2% year-on-year. Its tax revenues grew by 31.1% to 14.65 billion yuan. Its general public budget revenue grew by 26.9% to 6.4 billion yuan.
