Smart device maker HONOR’s first manufacturing factory, known as HONOR Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park, was opened in Pingshan on Nov. 4.

The industrial park includes a new product test center, a manufacturing center for high-end flagship phones, a development center for new crafts, technologies and manufacturing modes, and a center to improve smart manufacturing technologies.

“HONOR defines itself as a product company,” said Zhao Ming, CEO of HONOR Device Co. Ltd. “Quality means the life of honor. Without good quality, there won’t be a future for HONOR.”

“The industrial park will play a critical role in making high-quality products. It brings research, development and manufacturing together,” added Zhao.

The industrial park utilizes the globally leading automated manufacturing devices, which are responsible for 75 percent of the manufacturing procedures and can produce a smart phone within 28.5 seconds.

In addition, the industrial park has three advanced quality laboratories, including a reliability lab, a laws and regulations lab, and an environment lab, which are used for the quality check of both raw materials and products.

Additionally, quality checks are conducted in every assembling procedure to ensure that any abnormality is dealt with in time.

The industrial park has also set up a material sorting and transportation system, in which unmanned vehicles can send materials and deliver packed products to targeted sites.
