Nine Shenzhen-based companies have been listed on the 2026 Fortune Global 500, with BYD, headquartered in Pingshan, ranking No. 91.

The annual Global 500 ranks companies mainly by revenue. BYD reported US$111.85 billion in revenue and US$4.53 billion in profit in 2025, making it the highest-ranked Chinese automaker and auto-parts company on this year’s list.

BYD sold more than 1.8 million vehicles in the first half of 2026. In July, the company marked the rollout of its 17 millionth new energy vehicle. Guided by its philosophy of “technology-led, innovation-driven,” BYD invested 63.4 billion yuan in R&D in 2025, a 17% year-on-year increase.

On July 28, BYD announced that it will unveil a humanoid robot in August at Di Space in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Designed specifically for in-store service scenarios, the robot will be deployed in BYD showrooms for reception and guided tours, enhancing the intelligent customer experience.
