Tech firms in Pingshan delivered a strong performance at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) in Shanghai from July 17 to 20, highlighting innovations in electric vehicles, robotics, and AI-powered devices.

BYD showcased nine core technologies, including its fifth-generation DM hybrid system, the God’s Eye advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), flash charging, and the Xuanji A3 autonomous-driving chip, demonstrating end-to-end capabilities from batteries to intelligent driving.

At Honor’s booth, visitors queued to try the company’s new Robot Phone, which pairs embodied-AI interaction with flagship imaging features. The device signals a shift toward next-generation AI terminals, creating a more seamless experience between digital functions and the real world.

The phone also drew attention far beyond the tech sector at the FIFA World Cup, where its YOYO AI assistant correctly predicted Spain’s championship, sparking widespread discussion.

Meanwhile, Emdoor Digital Technology launched Ailyn, an in-house AI intelligence hub that integrates hardware and software. Built for individual, family, enterprise, and industrial scenarios, Ailyn brings AI-powered device collaboration closer to everyday life.

“Demand for privacy-focused on-device AI and cross-device connectivity has exceeded our expectations,” said Meng Decheng, who led Emdoor’s booth at WAIC.
