During its Intelligent Strategy Launch on May 28, BYD — based in Pingshan District — unveiled its latest breakthrough technology, the Xuanji A3, China’s first domestically developed 4nm assisted-driving chip.
A cluster of three chips is claimed to deliver more than 2,100 TOPS of total computing power for the vehicle. BYD said the new Xuanji A3 has already entered mass production.
The company says the chip represents the highest level of intelligent-driving chips in China, supporting Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving.
It will serve as the compute foundation for the latest version of BYD’s God’s Eye driver-assistance system. The company said it will provide a one-year city-navigation safety backstop, covering both new buyers and existing owners of God’s Eye A or B who upgrade over-the-air to God’s Eye 5.0.
