Pingshan District has brought 14 enterprises, including BYD, Longma Studio, and Comix, to take part in the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), which runs through May 25. The fair’s main venue is the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District, with 51 subvenues across the city.

Located in Hall 13 (Cultural Inheritance and Innovation Hall), Pingshan’s pavilion weaves together the district’s past, present, and future into a continuous narrative, immersing visitors in Pingshan’s evolving vision as a cultural landmark, sports hub, and eco-tourism destination all at once.

The pavilion showcases Pingshan’s green mountains and clear waters, highlighting the district’s integrated development across theater, natural ecology, digital technology, and sports and leisure. It also spotlights key upcoming projects, including the Shenzhen Natural History Museum and the Pingshan Sports Complex.

On May 21, the opening day of the fair, Pingshan held a meeting for curators of cultural, sports, and tourism projects, extending an open invitation to creative minds. Designers, digital content creators, and young entrepreneurs shared ideas and submitted proposals on site in a lively atmosphere. Through co-creation, Pingshan is rapidly building a future-ready district that is both liveable and attractive to visitors.

During the fair, Pingshan will organize investment promotion sessions for cultural, sports, and tourism projects, promoting high-quality hotels and outdoor sports destinations. The district will sign a strategic partnership agreement with the Shenzhen Hotel Association and announce the second batch of its intangible cultural heritage items.

As a new ICIF subvenue, Shenzhen Pingshan International Movie City will host a series of major events, including the launch of the first Shenzhen (Pingshan) “Microdrama + AIGC” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition — part of the China International New Media Short Film Festival. The program will focus on AI-powered microdrama content and technology.

The Shanghai Vancouver Film School and Pingshan-based Shidao Culture and Tourism Co., Ltd. will unveil a training base to advance talent development, film production, and research. In addition, an industry forum on AI film and TV industrialization will be held, bringing together experts to discuss AIGC applications in filmmaking and emerging trends in virtual production.
