Hepalink’s Pingshan New Pre-filled Syringe Manufacturing Facility has won the “Innovation —Novel Technology” category at the 2026 International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA). The award recognizes the facility’s breakthrough innovations in pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing.

Completed in February 2025, the plant produces enoxaparin sodium injections for global anticoagulation and antithrombotic markets. It incorporates innovations in real-time control, sterile logistics, intelligent inspection, flexible coordination, and space efficiency, enabling end-to-end visibility and automation across production, quality control, logistics, and energy management. The facility has obtained EU GMP certification and has an annual capacity of 330 million units.

FOYA honors state-of-the-art projects across global pharma and biopharma manufacturing. This year’s winning initiatives span multiple continents and therapeutic areas, reflecting ongoing advancements in innovation, operational excellence, supply-chain collaboration, Pharma 4.0™, and social impact.

The Pingshan win highlights Hepalink’s smart manufacturing capabilities and its strength in delivering high-end formulations and intelligent manufacturing at scale. It also marks China’s high-end pharmaceutical manufacturing industry as a global leader operating under the world’s most stringent standards.

Notably, the project has also been listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “2025 5G Factory Directory,” recognizing its advanced digital and intelligent systems integration.

Pingshan District is home to three 5G-enabled factories (Hepalink, Honor, and HiteVision) and 30 advanced smart factories. A total of 85 enterprises in Pingshan have been rated at national-level smart manufacturing maturity Level 3 and above, ranking second in Shenzhen by number.

As a hub for advanced and future-oriented manufacturing, Pingshan continues to accelerate AI-enabled manufacturing through targeted policies, digital transformation seminars, and enterprise outreach, supporting Shenzhen’s ambition to become a world-class advanced manufacturing center.
