A delegation of more than 80 representatives from Spain’s San Telmo Business School recently visited Pingshan District, touring BYD to learn about its progress in new energy vehicles (NEVs).

At BYD’s headquarters, the delegation learned about the Blade Battery, DM-i super hybrid technology, and the e-Platform 3.0. They held discussions on battery safety, industrial chain development, and intelligent applications, with company experts providing detailed answers.

The group also test-drove the BYD Yangwang U9, praising its performance and intelligent features as evidence of China’s strength in innovative manufacturing.

During the visit, Pingshan officials highlighted the district’s development advantages, including its industrial focus on NEVs, next-generation IT, and biopharmaceuticals. They also noted Pingshan’s position as a core area of the Shenzhen National High-Tech Zone and a key advanced manufacturing base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

“Pingshan’s strengths in new energy and smart manufacturing align well with European technology resources, offering broad cooperation opportunities,” said Liling Qi Zhou, president of the Shenzhen Industry and Commerce Association in Spain.

The visit comes after a previous Spanish delegation in 2025, which extended an invitation for further collaboration.
