A job fair under Guangdong Province’s “Million Talents Gather in Guangdong” initiative was held at the Renmin University of China in Beijing on March 25. The event offered 2,300 job vacancies from 55 companies and institutions, as well as 4,800 internship positions from Tencent.

Representatives from Pingshan District brought major companies based in the district to the event. The fair drew strong interest from students hoping to work in Pingshan.

The representatives introduced Pingshan’s industrial development, talent policies, and entrepreneurship environment, highlighting innovation-driven opportunities across its four major industries: new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, semiconductors and integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence.

The job fair featured themed zones to help students find suitable positions, and it also provided detailed information about Pingshan’s geographic advantages, industries, livelihood conditions, and ecological conditions. Many students stopped at the exhibition boards to better understand the district’s industrial strength, urban landscape, and daily life.

“We’ve received dozens of resumes from high-quality jobseekers, and several have expressed interest in employment,” said a recruiter from an intelligent manufacturing company. A postgraduate surnamed Liu said the introduction session helped him understand Pingshan’s industries, and he then submitted his resume to several preferred companies.

During the fair, Pingshan also sought cooperation with the university on talent introduction and industry-university-research integration. Representatives visited the university’s China Culture and Science Park incubator and held discussions on entrepreneurship contests and policies, and project incubation cooperation.

The Pingshan District Human Resources Bureau also launched a talent employment base in collaboration with the university’s Admissions and Employment Office, supporting cooperation in talent supply and demand, student internships, and talent evaluation.
