The 2025 “Million Professionals Converge in Guangdong” Autumn Job Fair was held Dec. 27-28 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian. Pingshan District organized 69 enterprises and public institutions to take part, offering more than 3,000 job vacancies.

Participating employers — including BYD, SMIC, EDAN Instruments, Shenzhen Technology University and Shenzhen Kangning Hospital — reflected Pingshan’s strategic focus on new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, semiconductors and AI, providing a wide range of career opportunities across these key sectors.

Of the more than 3,000 vacancies, nearly 1,000 offer annual salaries of 200,000-500,000 yuan, and more than 10 roles offer 500,000-1,000,000 yuan. Over the two days, jobseekers submitted more than 6,000 CVs both online and onsite, and over 1,000 attendees reached initial employment intent agreements with employers.

Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, noted that the company has been hiring fresh graduates each year since 1998 and has recruited more than 50,000 new graduates over the past three years, 70% of whom hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees. He added that many of BYD’s senior managers began their careers as graduate recruits.

Many jobseekers expressed strong interest in Pingshan’s talent policies and said the district’s booming industry prospects align with their career plans and encourage them to settle and work here.

Representatives from the Human Resources Bureau of Pingshan District said they will continue to provide innovative services and a favorable environment to attract, support and retain talent.
