Local NewsThe 9th China (Shenzhen) Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition concluded on Dec. 2 in Qianhai, Shenzhen. Pingshan District organized the Munich regional qualifier, and three entries from this round advanced to the final, earning one second prize and two third prizes.

The competition targeted Shenzhen’s 20 strategic emerging industrial clusters and eight future industries, covering sectors such as next-generation electronic information, digital and fashion industries, high-end equipment manufacturing, green and low-carbon technologies, new materials, biomedicine and health, and the marine economy. With regional contests held in 11 innovative cities worldwide, the event aims to accurately match industry needs and fuel Shenzhen’s high-quality development.
For the Munich regional contest, Pingshan representatives provided detailed guidance to contestants and held exchange meetings with representatives of key projects. They introduced Shenzhen’s employment and entrepreneurship environment as well as Pingshan’s industrial support policies, talent services and business environment. Many teams expressed interest in locating in Pingshan to accelerate their growth.

On Nov. 30, more than 50 international contestants specializing in green and low-carbon technologies, new materials and high-end equipment manufacturing visited BYD, Capchem and the China Automotive Technology and Research Center in Pingshan. They observed breakthroughs such as BYD’s blade battery and Pingshan’s vehicle-road-cloud integrated system, gaining a deeper understanding of the district’s mature industrial ecosystem and rapid pace of technological innovation.
Officials from Pingshan’s human resources, industry and investment departments answered questions about supportive policies, talent housing, and resource-matching services, and commercialization of technological achievements, offering clear guidance that strengthened attendees’ intent to collaborate.
