Local NewsThe 15th National Games will take place from Nov. 9 to 21 across 19 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Pingshan Sports Center Gymnasium will host the rhythmic gymnastics competition from Nov. 8 to 10.
The gymnasium’s main hall covers 2,052 square meters, with an additional 880-square-meter hall for warm-ups. Training will be held at the Gemdale International Tennis Center.
Organizers told a Nov. 3 press conference that preparations are fully complete, following multiple full-process rehearsals and drills. A professional operations team and comprehensive contingency plans are in place to ensure smooth, efficient events.

Security measures include comprehensive inspections, detailed operational plans, zoned access management, and multiple security checkpoints. A round-the-clock response team — comprising police, fire, health, and transport personnel — is on standby. All safety systems have been tested and verified, and fire safety protocols have been inspected and rehearsed.
Digital systems provide round-the-clock smart monitoring; networks have been tested for security and real-time oversight. The gymnasium is covered by 5G and Wi-Fi, and features a photovoltaic, energy storage, ultra-fast charging, and vehicle-grid integration project to support green energy use.
A medical station staffed with professionals and equipped with first-aid devices is ready on site, supported by a hospital green channel. Full public health and epidemic-prevention protocols are in place, and a doping-control station is operational.
Transport arrangements include extra parking, shuttle buses, extended Metro and bus service hours, and a dedicated shuttle bus between Jinlong Metro Station and the gymnasium. Around 700 parking spaces, clear signage, smart lockers, and information desks are provided for visitors’ convenience.

Official hotels — Shenzhen Pingshan Guest House and Jinlong Fuhua Hotel — will maintain food safety through strict inspections, video-monitored kitchens, and enhanced pest control. A team of 200 trained volunteers from Shenzhen Technology University, supported by citywide volunteer services, will assist during the Games.
During the Games, Pingshan will showcase its culture and tourism through events at cultural venues. Various travel routes will be recommended to encourage visitors to explore local landmarks and scenic spots.
Background music played during the Games will feature original compositions produced at Pingshan Cultural House’s music camp. Qilin dances staged outside the gymnasium will welcome guests and highlight Pingshan’s Hakka cultural heritage.
Audience members who present Games ticket stubs will enjoy discounts at participating hotels, restaurants, and shops to boost citywide engagement.
