Honor and BYD forge a strategic partnership on Oct. 21.

Pingshan-based new energy vehicle maker BYD signed a strategic partnership with smart device provider Honor on Oct. 21. The collaboration will integrate Honor’s vehicle connectivity solutions with BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem to deliver personalized, AI-powered mobility experiences.

The partnership will focus on three main areas:

  • Core technology and features: joint development of cross-device ecosystem integration, AI agent integration, and a high‑precision Bluetooth-based car key.

  • Channel ecosystem and user benefits: a cooperative channel model that leverages Honor’s connected vehicle expertise and BYD’s intelligent ecosystem to deliver smoother cross-platform experiences.

  • Joint communication and user engagement: coordinated marketing, joint product launches and user outreach tied to key product milestones.

The deal expands a multi-year cooperation between the two companies. Since 2023, they have launched smartphone NFC car keys that allow BYD drivers to lock and unlock vehicles with Honor phones. In 2024, the partnership extended to in-vehicle fast charging, and in 2025, Denza became the first BYD brand to integrate Honor Car Connect, paving the way for broader phone-to-car connectivity across BYD models.

Both companies said they will remain user-centric and AI-driven, accelerating the development and rollout of phone-to-car connectivity, digital keys and other features while enhancing safety and convenience across smart mobility scenarios.
