The WESEMiBAY Semiconductor Ecosystem Expo 2025 opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District on Oct. 15, drawing more than 600 domestic and international companies. The expo highlights key sectors including wafer manufacturing, advanced packaging, compound semiconductors and integrated circuit (IC) design.
Pingshan District — a core base for silicon‑based semiconductor manufacturing in Shenzhen — sent 22 local semiconductor firms to the event to showcase innovations across the industry chain.
At Pingshan’s booth, 15 leading companies specializing in chip design, electronic components, third‑generation semiconductors, storage, equipment and parts, new materials and smart terminals — including AST Technology, O‑Net Technologies, and Quantian Technology — demonstrated their technological strengths and the district’s comprehensive industrial capabilities.

Conferences and forums featuring industry experts and representatives from investment organizations provided platforms for Pingshan companies to connect with global innovation resources.
Pingshan is home to more than 180 enterprises in the IC sector. The district has established two major silicon‑based manufacturing bases and four public technology platforms, forming an integrated ecosystem covering design, manufacturing, packaging, testing and application.
During the expo, Pingshan representatives said the district will continue to support companies with funding, exhibition opportunities and platform resources to accelerate commercialization, strengthen industrial collaboration, and promote the integration of industrial, innovation and capital chains — aiming to build a globally competitive IC hub.
