Pingshan District signed the Memorandum of Friendly Exchange and Cooperation with Italy’s Municipio VIII of Rome during the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, formalizing collaborative ties across economic, cultural, healthcare, and sports sectors.

Pingshan and Municipio VIII possess complementary strengths in areas such as high-end manufacturing and cultural creativity. Both parties will promote industry-university-research cooperation, foster startup partnerships, and encourage artistic exchanges. They also plan to conduct regular delegation visits to deepen collaboration and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

In recent years, Pingshan has engaged in cultural exchanges with multiple regions in Italy. In 2024, a Pingshan delegation visited Municipio VIII of Rome, where both sides expressed a strong intention to establish friendly exchanges and cooperation. Both parties plan to organize more exhibitions and academic exchanges throughout this year.

During the Italian delegation’s visit to Pingshan this month, they toured companies in the new energy sector and cultural landmarks, expressing high praise for Pingshan’s development, which integrates industries with urban growth, and technology with culture.
