In recent years, attending night classes has become a popular option for young people in Shenzhen looking to improve themselves and explore new hobbies.
On March 11, the “Pingshan Station” space at Gangxia North in Futian District hosted its first night class, featuring a first-aid training session conducted by medical professionals from Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedic Hospital (Shenzhen Pingshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital). The training covered essential skills, including CPR, AED usage, and the Heimlich maneuver. After practicing on-site, many attendees expressed that they had learned a great deal and hoped for more courses to be offered at “Pingshan Station.”
In the coming weeks, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to use AI for video editing, marketing, and creative writing on March 17-19, as well as topics such as diffuser stones (March 24-26) and home organization (March 31-April 2) at “Pingshan Station.” Those who compete 12 sessions can enjoy a half-price discount.

Meanwhile, as DeepSeek gains popularity, more people are eager to embrace AI to enhance their work and lives. In February, Pingshan Subdistrict held a night class at its Heping Community. After learning about DeepSeek and AI, a restaurant owner said that she used AI to design menus and posters, increasing her efficiency. A food delivery driver used AI and his previous delivery records to create a report, which assisted him in choosing locations for opening a new restaurant.
In addition, Pingshan Subdistrict also hosts night classes on short video shooting, livestreaming, and barista training at various communities. Shenzhen Open University Pingshan College is offering evening classes on mobile phone photography, AI, video editing, social media account management, and sales in March.
