Pingshan-based BYD has unveiled its advanced self-driving system, which will be installed across its entire model lineup. Dubbed “God’s Eye,” the system will first be equipped on 21 car models, including several priced below 100,000 yuan, according to BYD’s chairman and president, Wang Chuanfu, at a press conference held in Pingshan on Feb. 10.

Wang expressed his hope that with the “God’s Eye,” more customers will gain access to advanced smart driving technologies. “Advanced self-driving capabilities will become an essential feature for vehicles in the next two to three years,” he stated.

The “God’s Eye” system is available in three distinct tiers. The premium “God’s Eye A,” featuring three LiDAR sensors, will be reserved for BYD’s high-end Yangwang brand. The mid-tier “God’s Eye B” system, equipped with one LiDAR unit, will be fitted to the semi-premium Denza brand and flagship BYD vehicles. The entry-level “God’s Eye C,” utilizing 12 cameras and 12 ultrasonic radar sensors, will be implemented on more affordable models.

BYD also announced that its Xuanji Architecture will integrate DeepSeek’s R1 model to enhance AI functionality in vehicles and cloud services. This integration aims to enable vehicles to understand drivers’ intentions and needs, providing more precise and customized services.
