The First Shenzhen Pingshan Rural Revitalization Festive Goods Festival opened Jan. 3 at the Pengsheng Smart Market in Pingshan District.

The event not only features festive goods and specialty agricultural products from across China but also serves as a platform to support “pairing assistance” areas by promoting their products. Under the “pairing assistance” program, a developed region or city provides aid and support to a less developed area to foster its development.

From now until Jan. 15, the market will primarily focus on selling agricultural products from supported regions; from Jan. 16 to 28, it will sell flowers and decorations in preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year. Shoppers can also enjoy folk performances at the festival, immersing themselves in the ambience of traditional culture.

At the festival’s opening, the Shenzhen Farm Produce Trade Digitalization Industrial Park was unveiled, marking a significant advancement in the integration of rural revitalization with digital trade and commerce in Pingshan. Additionally, Shenzhen Baoshan Technical School and the Shenzhen Pingshan Rural Revitalization Promotion Association signed an agreement to establish an internship base aimed at training livestreaming talent, leveraging the essential role of livestreaming in e-commerce for the rural economy.

Furthermore, at “Pingshan Station” near Gangxia North Metro Station in Futian District, agricultural products from areas supported by Pingshan District are also available for purchase, including rice from Northeast China, oranges from Jiangxi Province, and more from other regions. Home delivery services are available.
