City University of Hong Kong (CityU) conducted a roadshow in Pingshan on April 26 to showcase its HK Tech 300 program, aiming to explore opportunities for translating CityU’s research findings and intellectual properties into practical applications in Pingshan.

The HK Tech 300 is a large-scale flagship innovation and entrepreneurship program, organized by CityU for aspiring entrepreneurs among CityU students, alumni, research staff and others to launch start-ups and ignite their entrepreneurship journey. Since its inception in 2021, the program has supported over 690 start-up teams, with each receiving a seed fund of HK$100,000; over 140 start-up companies have received up to HK$1 million in angel fund investments each.

Zou shared that their company now operates a 5,000-square-meter medical R&D and production facility in Pingshan, underscoring the favorable environment for business growth and development in the district.
