Five Pingshan companies have been listed in the eighth batch of nationally recognized manufacturing industry champions recently, with Shenzhen adding 29 new champions. The five Pingshan companies are Laplace Renewable Energy Technology Co. Ltd., O-Net Technologies, Shenzhen Gongjin Electronics Co. Ltd., Shenzhen S.C. New Energy Technology Corporation, and Shenzhen Capchem Technology Co. Ltd.

Manufacturing industry champions are companies that have long focused on a specific niche product market within the manufacturing industry. They lead internationally in production technology or processes, holding a Top 3 position globally in their specific product market. The recognition aims to guide companies to innovate in niche product areas, improve product quality and brand development, achieve breakthroughs in key technologies, and cultivate themselves into globally competitive world-class enterprises.

Currently, Shenzhen has a total of 95 national-level manufacturing industry champions, ranking second nationwide. The new addition of 29 Shenzhen companies showcases their strong innovation capabilities, mastery of core technologies, high market share in niche segments, product quality and production efficiency. Their recognition injects new vitality in the city's progress in fostering new quality productive forces and constructing a globally leading advanced manufacturing center.

Among the 29 new champions in the city, Pingshan District is home to five, ranking third in the city. In 2023, Pingshan saw the addition of 11 new national-level “little giant” enterprises for using special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products. Currently, the district boasts 25 national-level “little giant” enterprises and 16 being manufacturing industry champions, including 10 at the national level.
