Shenzhen’s first district-level public legal service center for foreign-related cases, as well as legal matters involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, has been inaugurated in Pingshan recently. The center serves as a comprehensive platform offering a range of services, including legal services, mediation for commercial disputes, legal governance research and exchanges, and more.

“The establishment of the center is Pingshan’s proactive response to the legal service needs of enterprises and the public. The district plans to collaborate closely with the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, introduce top-tier resources, and build a platform with Pingshan-specific characteristics, providing solid legal assistance for the district’s development,” said an official from the Justice Bureau of Pingshan District.

At the inauguration ceremony, 28 lawyers from major law firms nationwide were appointed as volunteer lawyers for the center. They will provide legal consultations, facilitate conflict resolution, and engage in legal outreach efforts.

“It is a great honor to be appointed as a volunteer lawyer for the center. In the future, I will engage in law publicity activities in industrial zones, enterprises, and communities, offering lectures and other services. I hope to leverage my professional expertise to contribute to the public legal service efforts in Pingshan,” expressed a volunteer lawyer.

During a meeting, the volunteer lawyers shared their insights gained from their legal service experiences. Representatives from various enterprises delved into in-depth discussions on challenges encountered in cross-border investments, commercial disputes, and labor risks.

“The establishment of the center is beneficial for enterprises. We eagerly anticipate the center organizing volunteer lawyers to conduct exchange activities within businesses, providing legal training in areas such as intellectual property protection, cross-border investment and financing, and risk control in commercial trade. This support will aid companies in establishing top-tier management systems, effectively tackling international operational risks, and navigating their overseas ventures with legal support,” said an enterprise representative.
