The Southern Medical University Pingshan Hospital is set to be established as Southern Medical University’s affiliated hospital at the new location of Pingshan District People’s Hospital, as per an agreement inked between the People’s Government of Pingshan District and the university March 23.

Located in the Shahu area of Biling Subdistrict, the Southern Medical University Pingshan Hospital will implement a modern management system. Its primary objectives include developing a range of high-quality clinical specialties, attracting top talent, nurturing medical and management professionals, advancing towards becoming a research-oriented hospital, and delivering comprehensive healthcare services to citizens.

A prime example of Pingshan's successful partnership with the university is the Shenzhen Stomatology Hospital (Pingshan) of Southern Medical University, established in 2020. Noteworthy is the doubling of Hong Kong visitors seeking dental services at the hospital in 2023 compared to 2022. The visitors have lauded the hospital's streamlined reservation processes, exceptional facilities, top-notch services, and reasonable pricing.

Furthermore, in 2019, the People’s Government of Pingshan District and the Southern Medical University formalized an agreement for founding the Pingshan District Healthcare Group, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the region.
