Themed “Green and Beautiful Bay Area, Poetic and Flourishing Blooms,” the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Flower Show is being held at Bijia Mountain Sports Park, Lianhua Hill Park, and Xiangmihu Flower Wonderland in Futian District through April 1, attracting crowds of visitors on the opening day. Central to this year’s exhibition is the elegant larkspur, symbolizing the city's ethos of freedom and openness.

In the City Garden Section (Zone C) in Lianhua Hill Park’s eastern area, Pingshan District’s garden spans 180 square meters. Under the theme “Pingshan Green Heart,” the garden features over 20 varieties of plants and flowers, including larkspur, Siam tulip, molasses grass and dense gayfeather. A harmonious palette of blue and purple hues adorns the enchanting garden, accentuating the layered spectacle created by diverse larkspur species, offering visitors an unforgettable visual and ecological journey.

Moreover, the garden serves as a platform for highlighting Pingshan’s progressive green waste management practices, prompting contemplation on humanity's symbiotic relationship with nature. In the district, innovative technologies such as pyrolysis carbonization and rapid corrosion fermentation utilizing nano-membranes are employed to process green waste. This transformative process converts green waste into organic substrates utilized for soil enhancement, exemplifying a commitment to resource conservation and sustainability.

There are different types of gardens designed by students, enterprises, and cities at other venues. Additionally, a series of unique cultural activities such as market fairs and a food festival are also being held during the flower show period. The parks are all accessible via Metro, and a short-distance shuttle bus (Lianhua Hill Park Bus No. 1) offers direct access to Lianhua Hill and Bijia Mountain parks, eliminating the need for extra walking. The bus also stops at Shenzhen Book City CBD Store, Guan Shanyue Art Museum, Children’s Palace Metro Station and Lianhuacun Metro Station. The bus operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a bus fare of 1 yuan. Passengers are advised to check the operation times on the “车来了” WeChat miniprogram before departure.
