Comprehensive Social Welfare Complex enhances wellbeing

The Pingshan District Civil Affairs Bureau and Shum Yip Group’s Shenzhen Wellbeing and Wellness Group signed an agreement Dec. 28 for the operation of the Pingshan District Comprehensive Social Welfare Complex to improve the quality of life for the aging population and to enhance people’s wellbeing.

Located in Biling Subdistrict, the complex is a major livelihood project in Pingshan. With a total investment of 359 million yuan, the complex consists of the district elderly care home and the district comprehensive service center for the disabled. Covering an area of 14,000 square meters and with a construction area of 47,000 square meters, the complex provides 500 elderly care beds, 101 rehabilitation beds for the disabled, and 15 beds for the care of the disabled.

Currently, Pingshan District and Shum Yip Group have jointly established the Maluan Subdistrict Elderly Service Center, four childcare centers, and the GBA Rehabilitation Appliance Innovation Center, providing the public with quality, affordable and convenient livelihood services.

In the future, both parties will leverage their strengths to improve management efficiency, focus on the needs of the elderly and disabled, and provide high-quality life support and services.
