About 100 domestic and foreign car brands have brought over 1,000 car models to the 27th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show, running from June 16 to 24 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Several companies are presenting their products and achievements at the show. BYD has launched a series of its car models’ champion editions, which feature the latest power system, intelligent connected technology and safety configurations. CIDI, the Changsha Intelligent Driving Institute, is developing a driverless, electric and cabinless mining dump truck with independent intellectual property rights. Mpron is the only domestic enterprise that has mastered the core technology of ceramic capacitor pressure sensors.

At the exhibition, Pingshan District signed an agreement with Gecko New Energy Vehicle Technology Co. Ltd. for comprehensive strategic cooperation in the future. Meanwhile, consumers who intend to buy small new energy vehicles in Pingshan by July 31 may be offered subsidies of up to 25,000 yuan.
With the support of several major research platforms, Pingshan has introduced the Shenzhen Automotive Research Institute, BIT and the BYD Toyota Innovation Center in recent years, forming a complete industry chain with research and manufacturing capability covering everything from batteries, motors and electric controls to whole vehicle manufacturing.
Pingshan New Energy Vehicle Industry Park Phase 1 is also featured at the exhibition. The project is China’s first smart high-rise vertical factory that integrates production, research and development, and design into a multi-level building. The vertical factory for producing new energy vehicles takes up less space, employs a series of modular construction systems and new technologies, reducing carbon emissions by over 45%.
