Pingshan District has launched an online job information platform on the “i深圳” app for people with disabilities.
The platform is an employment and entrepreneurship service and data display platform for the disabled in the district. Local residents with disabilities can query job information, submit resumés, and search entrepreneurship projects through the platform, which will then provide users with recruitment information based on an analysis of their resumés, vocational abilities assessment and job requirements.

The third Sunday in May is China’s national day for assisting disabled people and at a special event at Pingshan Innovation Plaza on May 22, a Pingshan SkyShuttle train was decorated as a disabled-theme train to raise public awareness to care for, support, and assist people with disabilities. Posters and slogans were posted on the SkyShuttle train and manuals for the disabled were placed inside the train to allow citizens to understand and respect people with disabilities.
Also at the May 22 event, people with disabilities were invited to experience smart assistive devices and joined policy and psychological consultations and browsed a handmade gadget market to know more about policies regarding rehabilitation, education and employment.
Additionally, a fun area was set up, integrating care services for people with disabilities. There were also legal awareness campaigns and free legal consultation services for people with disabilities. The Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedic Hospital offered health consultation services for people with disabilities at the event, such as taking blood pressure and distributing free hospital appointment tickets.
