Shenzhen authorities have approved the standards on calculating fares for transportation services on the city’s first SkyShuttle municipal line, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported Thursday.
Under the approved pricing methods, a single trip on Pingshan SkyShuttle Line 1 will cost a maximum of 3 yuan (US$0.43), with the starting price set at 2 yuan for the first 4 kilometers.
Pingshan SkyShuttle Line 1 is scheduled to be put into operation this month, according to earlier media reports. The elevated rail line’s Phase 1 runs 8.51 kilometers with a total of 11 stations between Pingshan High-speed Railway and BYD North stations. The SkyShuttle rail transit system was independently developed by Shenzhen-based BYD, with a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
