When your late-night flight lands at Shenzhen airport in Bao’an District and the Metro is closed, reaching Pingshan District or other parts of the city doesn’t have to be stressful. Options are available for every budget — from economical airport express buses to car-hailing and taxis.

Airport Express

The Airport Express is usually the most cost-effective option, with fares typically between 20 and 40 yuan. Multiple late-night routes operate, so you’re less likely to miss the last bus even if your flight is delayed.

Service hours vary by route. For the latest schedule, check in the WeChat miniprogram “深圳机场巴士售票”. Inside the miniprogram, tap “A5坪山线” to view timetables and purchase bus tickets to Pingshan District. The buses stop at: He’ao Metro Station (荷坳地铁站), Jinlong Metro Station (锦龙地铁站), BYD Gate 1 (比亚迪一号门) and Yanzi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center (燕子湖国际会展中心).

E-hailing service

The airport’s car-hailing pickup and drop-off areas are divided into two zones for easier access.

Zone A is located outside GTC Entrance No. 15 on Level 1 and is ideal for quick curbside pickup. Blue, green, and orange color-coded lanes correspond to the last digit of car license plates, helping you get to the correct location more easily.

Zone B, also on Level 1 of the GTC, offers an indoor waiting area with comfortable seats. It’s a shorter walk to the vehicle, making it ideal if you have heavy or bulky luggage.

Taxi

Taxis operate 24/7. You can board immediately just outside GTC Entrance No. 13. The distance from the airport to Pingshan is about 70-80 kilometers. In addition to the standard fare, you may need to pay extra highway tolls, so it’s better to confirm with the driver in advance.
