Shenzhen Pingshan Special Education School 深圳市坪山区特殊教育学校

Operated under the Pingshan District Education Bureau, Shenzhen Pingshan Special Education School is a nine-year special education school which has 27 classes (18 at the primary level and 9 at the junior-high level). 

The school features teaching and rehabilitation rooms, indoor sports facilities, an auditorium, student dormitories, staff apartments, a cafeteria, an underground garage, and gardens for planting.

Following the national curriculum while accommodating individual student differences, the school offers core courses such as life skills, Chinese, mathematics, rehabilitation training, music and movement, painting and handicrafts, and physical education and healthcare. It also provides specialized classes in social interaction, picture-book reading, mental health, information technology, arts and leisure, English, and natural science.

The school also runs labor education, rehabilitation training, Special Olympics sports, dance arts, and visual arts creation activities. Clubs include a horticulture club, a sensory-integration rehabilitation club, a Special Olympics sports club, and a creative art club, among others, all designed to support students’ individualized development.
