Founded in 1980, Shenzhen Radio and TV University was a public higher education institution. In December 2020, it was renamed Shenzhen Open University, which has nurtured over 120,000 professional talents and trained more than 1 million people in non-degree programs.

Shenzhen Open University Pingshan College was established in 2011 to provide higher education. Students enroll in the Open University of China system and receive Open University of China graduation certificates upon completion. Its bachelor’s degrees are recognized in more than 150 countries worldwide.

Shenzhen Open University Pingshan College offers 17 majors at both undergraduate and junior college levels, including management, accounting, engineering, computer science, advertising, and e-commerce.
