The Shenzhen Technology University Library, with a construction area of 75,000 square meters, features more than 5,600 seats and 62 discussion rooms. It offers a range of study spaces for different needs — from quiet individual carrels to collaborative group study rooms.

Its print collection is carefully curated to cover a wide range of subjects and disciplines. As of August 2025, the library holds a total of 820,900 volumes in both Chinese and foreign languages, as well as newspapers and periodicals.

The library also offers 158 databases in both Chinese and foreign languages, 1.71 million e-books, 2.27 million e-periodicals, 17.9 million theses, and 664,500 hours of streaming media content, along with other resources.

The library provides a variety of services, including book borrowing, literature search, resource recommendations, reader training, space reservations, movie screenings, and retrieval services. Each semester, it hosts both online and offline reading promotion activities such as training lectures, knowledge contests, and book recommendations. 

Equipped with advanced network and IT infrastructure, the library provides wireless coverage and 206 computers.

I don’t work or study at Shenzhen Technology University. Can I use the library?

Yes, you can visit the library.

Booking is required to enter the library. For first-time reservations, visitors must correctly answer 8 out of 10 questions in Chinese on library etiquette on the online reservation page.

The library is open from Monday to Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.; Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Hours may be adjusted during winter/summer breaks and public holidays. Access may also be temporarily suspended during major campus events or peak exam periods. Floors 2-6 are open to the public, offering in-library reading, seating, and selected cultural activities.

To maintain normal academic and campus order, classrooms, labs, and dormitories are not open for visits.
