To facilitate the employment of international professional talent, the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau issued the International Professional Qualification Recognition Catalog (2025) on Dec. 24, 2025.

Professionals working in Shenzhen who hold valid international qualification certificates listed in the catalog and engage in work that matches or is similar to the qualifications indicated in their certificates may apply for evaluation of a higher-level professional title.

Overseas work experience can be recognized in the Chinese professional title evaluation. There is no need to apply for a separate certificate for the equivalent professional title in Shenzhen; international certificates can be used when applying for a higher-level professional title.

Specific application requirements are subject to the 2025 Shenzhen professional title application notice.

The International Professional Qualification Recognition Catalog (2025) includes more than 130 international professional titles such as LEED AP Homes, BREEAM Accredited Professional, DGNB Consultant, AICP, ACM Fellow, Azure Data Scientist Associate, among others.
